To celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of Blossom Music Center, the summer home of the Cleveland Orchestra and a venue for country, hip-hop, pop, and rock musicians, a new documentary from Ideastream traces the history of the outdoor music site and showcases concert highlights. Blossom Music Center: 50 Years and Counting will be shown on WVIZ/PBS Ideastream on Monday, September 24 at 8:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. In addition, the program will be available at ideastream.org/blossom50 beginning September 24. The web page will also feature bonus content, such as fan videos and an interactive timeline. Segments on the documentary focus on the creation and building of the outdoor music venue, reminiscences from Cleveland Orchestra musicians, conductors, and administrators, and Blossom’s role as a host to artists in multiple musical genres.
