Indianapolis Symphony publishes a children’s book, written by one of its musicians

The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra has published its first children’s book, The Garden Symphony, one of four stories in the ISO’s Teddy Bear Concert Series written by author and ISO violinist Victoria Kintner Griswold. The series introduces preschool and kindergarten students to the orchestra through story, movement, and live music; each program features five musicians from the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra performing alongside dramatic narration. The official book launch on September 9 at Hilbert Circle Theatre featured an interactive performance for children and families with Griswold and Sharon Vargon, the book’s illustrator.
