Ohio’s Toledo Symphony Orchestra has named long-time board member PAM S. HERSHBERGER as board chair. She was elected at the organization’s board meeting on June 21 and is the first woman board chair since Emma Endres-Kountz, the orchestra’s founding president in 1951. She succeeds Randy Oostra, president and CEO of ProMedica, who was board chairman since 2014. In her new role, Hershberger will oversee the direction and governance of the orchestra, working with the board’s officers, committees, and trustees, alongside orchestra President and CEO Zak Vassar. Hershberger was first elected to the orchestra board in 2008.
