Colorado’s Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra has appointed MICHAEL TETREAULT (in photo) as principal percussion and JAMES ANDRUS as principal tuba.

Michael Tetreault holds a bachelor of music degree from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY and a master of music from the Royal Academy of Music in London, UK. He currently holds positions with the Colorado Springs Philharmonic, Central City Opera, and Sun Valley Symphony. Tetreault has performed with the Colorado Symphony, Colorado Ballet, Opera Colorado, Orchestre de Paris, London Soloists Chamber Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, RTE Concert Orchestra (Dublin), Ulster Orchestra (Belfast), and the Halle Orchestra (Manchester).

A student of Gary Ofenloch at the University of Utah, James Andrus has appeared with the Utah Symphony, the World Youth Symphony Orchestra at Interlochen, and other ensembles.

In addition, the Boulder Philharmonic has named ZACHARY REAVES as assistant principal cello and has appointed CHARLES BARNARD to the cello section and NENA LORENZ WRIGHT to the percussion section.
