The Seattle Symphony has named CHERONNE WONG as vice president and chief financial officer. She succeeds Maureen Campbell Melville, who was recently named CFO at the San Diego Symphony. Wong goes to the Seattle Symphony following more than thirteen years with the Garrigan Lyman Group, a digital marketing and design agency in Seattle. As CFO, she was responsible for all finance-related functions within the firm, and led capital expenditure planning, cash forecasting, and budgeting processes, in addition to regulatory compliance and tax filing activities. Prior to that, she held accounting and finance positions in Seattle in the design and tech fields, as well as arts administration positions in New York. During her earlier career in finance, Wong was also a professional dancer, choreographer, and producer, and performed with dance companies in Seattle and New York. She is the recipient of commissions and grants for choreography, and her multidisciplinary performance art works have appeared in the U.S. and Malaysia. Wong holds a BA degree in accounting from College of William and Mary in Virginia, and an MFA in performance from Ohio State University.
