The Hartford Symphony Orchestra in Connecticut has announced a new partnership with Hartford’s Capital Community College (CCC), which will feature reduced ticket prices for CCC students, faculty, and staff, and a program through which CCC students may participate in the HSO’s Student Ambassador leadership program. One Note, the ticket program, will launch with the orchestra’s February 15-17 “Latin Lovers” concerts; the program is modeled after Capital Community College’s One Play program, a partnership with the Hartford Stage in which the entire college focuses on one Hartford Stage play per semester at a discounted price and includes in-class workshops and a Meet the Actors event. The One Note program will provide free tickets to a faculty member and participating students for courses of study focusing on one or more of the themes linked to the concert. HSO’s Ambassadors program for students is also available to Trinity and Goodwin College students. Student ambassadors will learn more about the HSO and symphonic music, along with the opportunity to develop social and networking skills as they welcome guests into the hall for concerts. For every concert they host, students will receive vouchers to return for a performance as HSO’s guest.
