The title of the Cincinnati Pops’ family concert at Music Hall on February 2 is “Fiona’s Playlist,” after the popular hippo born prematurely on January 24, 2017 at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden. The morning performance will be led by Associate Conductor Keitaro Harada and hosted by the Cincinnati Zoo’s Thane Maynard. Selections will include music from Saint-Saëns’s Carnival of the Animals and Elton John’s “Circle of Life” from The Lion King. Joining the Pops will be singer-songwriter Zak Morgan, who will debut his new song, “Fiona,” and lead the audience in singing “The Hippopotamus Song (Mud Glorious Mud!).” The concert also will feature the Walnut Hills High School Senior Ensemble under the direction of Anthony Nims.
