Find out the qualities that turn board members into champions for their orchestras at Is Your Board Optimized?, a leadership development seminar offered by the League of American Orchestras on Thursday, May 2 in New York City. Susan Howlett, the orchestra-savvy author of Boards on Fire! Inspiring Leaders to Raise Money Joyfully, will lead the full-day seminar, and participants will leave knowing what highly effective board members know: the proven-practices that don’t cost money, and the ones that don’t require more time but result in optimized boards.
The practical session addresses the complementary roles board members play in their organization’s governance and resource development. Board members, executive directors/CEOs, and senior development staff are welcome. And to derive the maximum benefit and multiply the force of orchestra boards, teams of board and staff members are encouraged to attend. A complimentary lunch will be provided.
