Miguel Harth-Bedoya, music director of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and chief conductor of the Norwegian Radio Orchestra, will lead a Fundamentals of Orchestral Conducting Workshop in Fort Worth, Texas, from June 24 to 28. The six-day intensive workshop will offer theory and practice, consisting of in-classroom seminars as well as lab-oriented orchestra and ensemble sessions. It will also present an overview of the duties and responsibilities of a professional conductor. The workshop is aimed at talented musicians of high school age and above, including pre-college and college students, music educators, youth-orchestra conductors, and young professional conductors. The musicians will consist of a Workshop Lab Orchestra and other ensembles led by members of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra with advanced students.
