The West Hartford Symphony Orchestra will partner with the Ballet Theatre Company of West Hartford for a March 31 family concert of dance music at the Kingswood Oxford School in West Hartford, Connecticut. Music will include Richard Rodgers’ “Carousel Waltz” from Carousel and George Gershwin’s An American in Paris Suite, choreographed by Stephanie Dattellas, Ballet Theatre Company’s artistic director. Children age 15 and under and any dancer in costume will be admitted free of charge. Donations of lightly used dance costumes will be accepted and shared with local young dancers in need. West Hartford Symphony President Tom Caraher says that costumed audience members will also have a chance to meet the performers and have photos taken with dancers and orchestra members.
