“As the Contemporary Youth Orchestra warmed up Thursday afternoon, Grammy Award winner Jason Mraz got ready to do something he’s never done before: his first-ever orchestra concert,” reports Natasha Anderson in a video report on Saturday’s (6/8) Fox 8 Cleveland TV. The youth orchestra, whose members range in age from 12 to 18, is based in Cleveland, Ohio. Mraz’s appearances with the Contemporary Youth Orchestra took place on June 8 and 9 at Severance Hall. “The concert at Severance Hall features a catalogue of his music including fan favorites and hits. Mraz will be backed by the 115 piece Contemporary Youth Orchestra, led by Music Director Liza Grossman. Both shows were previously sold out, however a limited number of additional tickets have become available for Sunday’s 4 p.m. show.” Cleveland.com has extensive photo coverage of the rehearsal and concert.
