As part of the Curtis Institute of Music’s series of Summerfest faculty recitals, faculty performers from the Sphinx Performance Academy and Curtis Summerfest Harp Colony will perform at Curtis’s Field Concert Hall on June 14 at 7 p.m., presenting music by Beethoven, Debussy, Donizetti, Jiménez, Renié, and Philadelphia harpist Carlos Salzedo. Faculty performers from the Sphinx Performance Academy—now in its second year in residence at Curtis Summerfest—include violinists Javier Orman and Robyn Quinnett, violist Jennifer Arnold, and cellist Mary Ann Ramos, all Curtis alumni and laureates of the Sphinx Organization. Additional performers include faculty from the Harp Colony: Judy Loman, former principal harp of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and Elizabeth Hainen, principal harp of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Additional recitals in the series are scheduled for July 19, July 26, and August 1.
