On June 30 at the new Linde Center for Music and Learning at Tanglewood, Boston radio station WBUR will record live performances of three stories told by actors, joined by Boston Symphony Orchestra musicians performing original scores. The free event will be recorded for the station’s Circle Round children’s storytelling podcast that adapts folktales into live radio plays; the podcasts will be released later this summer. The cast for the June 30 performance will include Amanda Seyfried (Mamma Mia!, Les Miserables), Thomas Sadoski (The Newsroom, Life in Pieces), Campbell Scott (House of Cards, The Amazing Spider-Man) and Jane Kaczmarek (Malcolm in the Middle). The broadcast is part of a new partnership between WBUR’s Circle Round and the Boston Symphony Orchestra that involves pop-up events during the summer coordinated by the BSO’s education and community engagement department. The partnership launched in May with a BSO Concert for Very Young People: Circle Round Edition at the Jamaica Plain Branch of the Boston Public Library.
