One of the most highly rated sessions at the League of American Orchestras’ 2019 Conference in June was New Strategies for Success in Audience Research and Development, which revealed how innovative approaches to understanding audiences and tracking audience data can help increase attendance and donations. Now the presentations from the session have been posted at the League’s Conference Resources site, along with videos, transcripts, handouts, and more from other sessions at the 2019 Conference.

From the New Strategies for Success in Audience Research and Development seminar, you’ll find a presentation by experts from the Wallace Foundation based on Wallace’s analysis of 25 arts organizations’ ticketing data. The presentation examines emerging trends, how arts organizations build new audiences while retaining current ones, and how these efforts contribute to financial health. And you’ll find The Long Haul Model: A New Approach to Audience Development that Solves the Problems of Attrition, Churn, and Aging, a presentation by California Symphony Executive Director Aubrey Bergauer that explains how the California Symphony rethought its approaches to understanding audiences—and forged new success.

Be sure to explore all of the resources from the League’s 2019 Conference. New material is being added regularly, so check back often.
