Boosey & Hawkes, the classical-music publishing company, has appointed ELIZABETH BLAUFOX to the position of director of promotion. Working with Carol Ann Cheung, director of marketing and public relations, Blaufox will lead the development and implementation of composer and repertoire promotion strategy in North and South America. A specialist in 20th-century and contemporary music, Blaufox served as associate director of programs and promotion at the Kurt Weill Foundation for Music from 2015 to 2019. She worked in the Boosey and Hawkes Rental Library from 2007 to 2015, and managed operations there from 2012 to 2015. Blaufox earned a bachelor’s degree in music education with a concentration in oboe at Houghton College, and a master’s degree in historical musicology with a focus on 20th-century music from the City College of New York.
