ProMusica Arizona, a Phoenix-based multi-generational community choir and orchestra, has announced a new partnership with Arizona Christian University, also based in Phoenix, through which ACU students may earn college credits by joining the ProMusica Arizona Orchestra. Students must attend weekly orchestra rehearsals and perform in concerts; current adult orchestra members who wish to obtain college credit for their orchestra participation may enroll for credit through ACU. ProMusica Arizona is led by Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Patti Graetz and Meghan Ruel, the group’s concertmaster, who also is a professor of violin at ACU. ProMusica Arizona was founded by seventeen singers in 2003; the group added an orchestra the following year and has grown to 100 singers and instrumentalists.
