The League of American Orchestras has been collecting data from the orchestral field since 1946, and its Orchestra Statistical Report (OSR) is the largest and most comprehensive orchestra data set in the United States. Members of the League who complete this year’s Orchestra Statistical Report by the September 13 due date will receive a benchmarking report with financial and operating data about peer orchestras. Both the survey and report were redesigned last year—as a result, the survey takes much less time to complete. Only League members have the opportunity to contribute to—and use—this unique resource, which many rely on for planning, fundraising, management, and case-making. Contact knowledge@americanorchestras.org to find out how your orchestra can access and benefit from the OSR. All League-member orchestras in Groups 1-8 are eligible to participate.
