PAUL HEGLAND has been named executive director of the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra in North Dakota, effective November 12. He will succeed Linda Boyd, who announced her retirement in March. Hegland most recently served as development officer of Chicago’s Ravinia Festival and as president’s chief of staff at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin. A native of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Hegland earned a bachelor’s degree in music education from Iowa State University and a master’s degree in music history from Northwestern University in Illinois. He has been active in civic organizations including Kiwanis, Kenosha Area CVB, Association of College and University Policy Administrators, Kenosha Public Museums, and more. He is also a church choir conductor and organist.
