The League of American Orchestras invites members to contribute ideas and provide input on what’s most interesting, pressing, and important to you for the 2020 National Conference. The League welcomes a vast array of proposals and seeks to offer a variety of learning opportunities including elective sessions, constituency group meetings, and pre-Conference workshops that address the needs of attendees. The 2020 National Conference takes place June 10-12, 2020 in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota—and now is the time to share your suggestions for content. Use this form to submit proposals before the deadline of Friday, October 18, 2019. The League’s Knowledge, Learning, and Leadership team will review all submissions and curate sessions that reflect a thoughtful balance of institutions, topics, and perspectives. Excellent proposals will address topics that appeal to multiple facets of the orchestral field (i.e., management, artistic, operational, engagement, etc.) and also articulate learning objectives. Space in the slate of sessions is limited, and though all proposals will be reviewed, this remains a highly competitive process. Content should not center around specific commercial products or services, and proposals that are self-promotional will be disqualified.

Proposals should be submitted no later than 11:59 p.m. on Friday, October 18, 2019.

Decisions will be announced by Tuesday, January 15, 2020. For questions, contact John-Morgan Bush, Director, Learning and Leadership Programs, at jbush@americanorchestras.org.
