Boston Baroque has announced that it will live-stream its upcoming March 20 concert for free, featuring X-tet, a newly formed string chamber ensemble of musicians from Boston Baroque. The free live stream will be available on March 20 at 7pm, through Boston Baroque’s partnership with WGBH and 99.5 WCRB, which will broadcast the concert on its website and on Facebook. The move to stream the concert at radio station WGBH’s Fraser Performance Studio followed WGBH’s decision to close its buildings to the public during the coronavirus pandemic. The March 20 performance will feature Boston Baroque musicians Christina Day Martinson, Jesse Irons, Sarah Darling, Jason Fisher, and Michael Unterman performing Haydn’s String Quartet in D Major and Mozart’s String Quintet No. 4 in G minor. More information is available at Boston Baroque’s Facebook page. In addition, Boston Baroque is welcoming suggestions from listeners about digital content they would like to see.
