The Delaware Symphony Orchestra has appointed J.C. BARKER as executive director, effective on May 1. He goes to the DSO from the Mobile Symphony after a tenure of almost thirteen years, most recently as general manager and director of artistic administration. Barker’s professional experience began as a classically trained orchestra musician; he is a graduate of the Juilliard School in New York City. Barker will succeed current Executive Director Alan Jordan at the Delaware Symphony.
