The Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra will live-stream an event featuring a previously recorded November 2019 educational concert for students and educators on April 27, with interactive on-demand video available after the broadcast at laco.org/on-demand. Derrick Spiva Jr., LACO’s artist-educator, leads the interactive concert; educators who wish to have their students participate in the digital live-stream event should contact LACO Operations Manager Taylor Lockwood at taylorlockwood@laco.org. The live-streamed event is part of the orchestra’s free LACO AT HOME audio and video offerings at laco.org/broadcasts during the coronavirus pandemic. Other virtual events include performances by LACO musicians and the Miró Quartet from their homes on April 30 and May 1, with real-time Q&As after each livestream with LACO Concertmaster Margaret Batjer.
