Week 5 of LA Phil’s “At Home With…” series, featuring Chen and Thibaudet

The next two episodes of the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s “At Home With…” series on Classical KUSC radio (Los Angeles) and Classical KDFC (San Francisco) will air between May 19 and 22, featuring violinist Ray Chen and pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet broadcasting from their homes, hosted by KUSC’s Brian Lauritzen. “At Home With Ray Chen” will air on May 19 and 20; Chen recently collaborated with the LA Phil to bring the “Play with Ray” international skills-based competition to the Hollywood Bowl last summer, with more than 800 people submitting entries and three finalists flown to Los Angeles to rehearse and perform at the Hollywood Bowl. “At Home With Jean-Yves Thibaudet” will air on May 21 and 22; Thibaudet has performed with the LA Phil since 1989, when he made his debut with the orchestra at the Hollywood Bowl. Since then he has appeared in an LA Phil program more than 100 times. The “At Home With…” series, now in its fifth week, is broadcast locally on KUSC and KDFC, syndicated nationally through a partnership with Public Radio exchange, and available for streaming internationally.
