KATHRYN R. MARTIN has been named interim CEO and executive director at California’s Santa Barbara Symphony. She succeeds Kevin Martin (no relation), who resigned from the position in early May for personal and family reasons. Kathryn R. Martin is a veteran arts leader with a 30-year career leading arts and culture organizations during change and transition. She assisted the Santa Barbara Symphony during a period of transition several years ago and recently provided the same services at the Tucson Symphony Orchestra. Martin is a board member of the Association of California Symphony Orchestras. The orchestra will launch a national search in the Fall.
