“Learning to Listen” virtual discussion on the Black experience in classical music, June 10

On June 10 at 5 p.m. ET, Young Concert Artists and the Violin Channel will co-host “Learning to Listen,” a roundtable discussion addressing the Black experience within the classical music community and beyond. Participants will include artists from YCA’s roster, adult professional musicians, and others in the classical-music community: Anthony Trionfo, Weston Sprott, Sanford Allen, Monica Ellis, Anthony McGill, Carlos Simon, Toyin Spellman-Diaz, Randall Goosby, Marcus Steven Banks, Afa Dworkin, and Aaron Dworkin. The discussion will be streamed at YCA’s Facebook page and will be archived at Young Concert Artists’ Facebook, IGTV, and YouTube pages.
