New Bedford Symphony musicians play outdoors at parks concerts

Musicians from the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra in Massachusetts have been performing outdoor concerts throughout August in the city’s Ashlee, Brooklawn, Buttonwood, and Riverside parks. The schedule is updated weekly, with performances from August 7 to 13 including violinists Fariba Hunold and Shawn Wang (Riverside Park); violist Lauren Nelson and violinist Ryan Shannon; violinist Emmy Holmes-Hicks and cellist/guitarist Peter Zay (Brooklawn Park, Riverside Park); and violinist Raluca Dumitrache and flutist Ona Jonaityte (Buttonwood Park). The series is being presented in collaboration with New Bedford Parks, Recreation, and Beaches and with Massachusetts Design Art and Technology Institute.
