As part of Eugene Symphony’s new SymphonyGO! initiative, Eugene Symphony orchestra musicians Lisa McWhorter (assistant concertmaster), Stephen Chong (first violin), Lauren Elledge (viola), and Dale Bradley (cello) will perform as a quartet at the new Broadway Streatery on August 22 from 6  to 8 p.m. Sponsored by the City of Eugene and presented in partnership with Eugene Symphony and Downtown Eugene Merchants, Strings at the Streatery is free and open to the public. The quartet will perform on Broadway between Olive Street and Willamette Street for diners eating outdoors at participating restaurants. Social distancing protocols are expected throughout the evening, including keeping groups to 10 or fewer, maintaining a minimum of six feet between groups, and wearing masks when not eating or drinking and when six feet of distance is not possible. The Eugene Symphony’s SymphonyGO! initiative provides virtual and in-person education and community engagement offerings to regional students and community members in the region. In-person activities are presented in accordance with recommended health and safety protocols.
