Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens, a historic house museum in Akron, Ohio, “is partnering with the Akron Symphony Orchestra during the orchestra’s Interlude Season with a Sept. 19 performance by the husband-and-wife duo of Cory and Ann Smith,” writes Kerry Clawson in Wednesday’s (9/16) Akron Beacon Journal (OH). “Cory (violin) and Ann (viola) will [perform] for guests taking the self-guided Manor House tour. Masks and social distancing are required in the Manor House and all indoor spaces of Stan Hywet. The orchestra’s Interlude Season, created during the pandemic, has musicians appearing in small ensembles throughout the community…. In another Akron Symphony happening this week, viola player Jerry Miskell was special guest for an ASO Conversation Tuesday afternoon.
