The Music Academy of the West (Santa Barbara, CA) has appointed CASEY MOLINO DUNN as vice president of Innovation and Program Development. His focus will be on creating career-launching and professional development opportunities for Academy fellows and alumni, and he will also teach as a faculty artist. With Jennifer Bowman, Molino Dunn was co-director of the organization’s 2020 Music Academy Remote Learning Institute. Molino Dunn began working remotely in September, and he will work fulltime in Santa Barbara starting in January 2021. Molino Dunn most recently was director of Manhattan School of Music’s Center for Music Entrepreneurship, and he also worked as a publicist. He previously coordinated the Eastman School of Music’s Office of Careers and Professional Development and was a member of the Juilliard School’s student services staff. He is a career advisor at the Chamber Music America national conference and a guest lecturer in career classes at the Eastman School and the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He is active as a vocalist, keyboard player, and actor. He holds degrees from the Eastman School of Music and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
