On October 14, a string quartet from the South Carolina Philharmonic will perform at the Hunter-Gatherer Brewery in a hangar at Jim Hamilton-Owens Field Airport in Columbia, South Carolina. Mary Lee Taylor Kinosian and Damir Horvat (violin), Audrey Harris (viola), and Dusan Vukajlovic (cello) will perform in the space, where attendees will sit at pre-set tables in groups no larger than eight, socially distanced from each other and from musicians. Musicians from the orchestra are performing at other Columbia venues, including a musician-curated concert and conversation at the Columbia Museum of Art on October 16, featuring Petrea Warneck, oboe; Patrick Herring, bassoon; Joseph Eller, clarinet; and Matthew Jones, percussion. A light-classics concert at the Gardens at Hampton-Preston Mansion and Gardens will take place on November 5; two outdoor concerts-with-dinner on November 6 will feature violist Sarah Steeves and cellist Ying Liao in Segra Park; a November 8 event at the Environmental Center at Salad Shoals Park will feature violinist Ashley Horvat, violist Sarah Steeves, and cellist Ying Liao. The orchestra plans to return to the Koger Center for the Arts in January 2021.
