The Florida Orchestra in St. Petersburg has announced the appointment of SUSANA WEYMOUTH as chief development officer, effective in January 2021. Weymouth is currently executive director of Tampa Bay Businesses for Culture and the Arts (TBBCA), which she joined in 2015. At TBBCA, she worked on collaborations with the orchestra. At the Florida Orchestra, Weymouth will lead the team responsible for creating and managing the organization’s comprehensive fundraising plan. Weymouth has many years of experience in leadership or development roles in the business, non-profit, and education sectors in Miami, New York, London, and Beijing, among others. Born in Havana, Cuba, Weymouth is bilingual in English/Spanish, fluent in French, and has studied Mandarin Chinese.
