This January, Canada’s Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra will present its annual new music festival online from Winnipeg and New York City. The 30th Winnipeg New Music Festival will feature livestreamed concerts on January 23 and 29, featuring WSO musicians performing music by John Adams, Emily LeBel, Jessie Montgomery, Jocelyn Morlock, Samy Moussa, Philip Glass, Christopher Rouse, and Harry Stafylakis, led by Music Director Daniel Raiskin. On January 26, the New York City-based chamber music collective Decoda will join the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra in a virtual presentation of chamber works by Kinan Azmeh, David Lang, and Caroline Shaw. Also planned are pre-concert panels and post-concert Q&As, with details to be announced later in January. More information is available at the Winnipeg New Music Festival.
