In most years, the Fort Collins Symphony’s Musical Zoo event for families features an in-person musical instrument petting zoo and music performance; due to the pandemic, this year’s event will take the form of a free on-demand performance of Prokofiev’s Peter and Wolf. The pre-recorded concert, featuring the Fort Collins Symphony led by Music Director Wes Kenney, narrator Scott Wheeler, and dancers from Canyon Concert Ballet, will be available from April 5 to May 27 at fcsymphony.org/fos/peter-and-the-wolf. Colorado cinematographer Steve Roberts pre-recorded the concert at Timberline Church in Fort Collins, Colorado, with musicians and dancers masked and socially distanced. A program booklet and interactive guide are also available at the Fort Worth Symphony’s website.
