The Dayton Performing Arts Alliance—comprising the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, Dayton Ballet, and Dayton Opera—has added a suite of free online education materials, called Arts Explorer Streams. Included are performances, interviews, lesson plans, activity ideas, and more to support public, private, and home educators. Among the streams will be four virtual performances by the Dayton Philharmonic, each no more than 45 minutes in length. Each performance comes with a lesson plan for educators to use in virtual and in-person classrooms. Philharmonic streams vary in targeted grade-level and are labeled accordingly. Educators can use lesson plans for the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, Dayton Ballet, or Dayton Opera, or they may access the DPAA’s existing ArtsConnect Program, which has transitioned online and covers each of the three art forms.
