“The Minnesota Orchestra will increase its capacity to 50 percent for July and August concerts, which feature pianist Jon Kimura Parker, four guest conductors and the return of large-scale orchestra repertoire,” writes Ross Raihala in Tuesday’s (6/1) St. Paul Pioneer Press (MN). “The orchestra is also changing its livestreaming for the summer. One concert, on July 30, will be livestreamed and broadcast on Twin Cities PBS. All other concerts in July and August will be for in-person audiences only, with Friday night performances also broadcast live on Classical MPR. The orchestra plans to announce updated livestream and broadcast plans in the fall. June concerts at Orchestra Hall … include seating at 20 percent capacity, masking, and no food or beverage service. July and August concerts will reflect the most current City of Minneapolis regulations. Capacity will expand to 50 percent and beverages will be served outside.
