Colorado’s Fort Collins Symphony will perform all six of Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos on August 21 on the Great Lawn/Everitt Pavilion at the Gardens on Spring Creek in Fort Collins. The event is one of several outdoor concerts that the orchestra is performing at local parks this summer. Music Director Wes Kenney will conduct the Brandenburg concert. Each concerto highlights a different instrument that Bach combined in partnerships with other instruments, and featured soloists on August 21 will include harpsichordist Joel Bacon, chair of organ and liturgical studies at Colorado State University; violinist Michael Davis, retired concertmaster of Kentucky’s Louisville Orchestra; and Fort Collins Symphony musicians. Tickets must be purchased for the concert.
