“For the first time in nearly two years, musicians from the Houston Symphony will return to the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion Main Stage,” writes Sondra Hernandez in Friday’s (9/10) Houston Chronicle (TX). “In late September, they’ll make a rockin’ return with ‘The Music of Queen.’ ‘The last time the Houston Symphony performed at The Pavilion was October 2019, so … we are very much looking forward to sharing this special occasion with our community,’ said Ashley Gravois, public relations and Educational Outreach Manager for The Pavilion.… Bridging the gap between rock n’ roll and classical music, conductor/arranger Brent Havens takes the podium to present Windborne’s ultimate rock show, ‘The Music of Queen,’ … performed by an orchestra and amplified with a full rock band and vocals…. Tony Vincent also performs as a part of the concert. The actor/producer/singer/songwriter is widely known for his appearance as a finalist on NBC’s ‘The Voice.’ … At this time there are no specific changes for guests attending performing arts events, but The Pavilion continues to abide by all recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to help ensure that all events are as safe as possible.”
