On November 11, the Orchestra of Southern Utah, based in Cedar City, Utah, will partner with the Cedar City Historical Committee to mark the city’s 170th birthday and Veterans Day with a gala event. The event will feature the orchestra in performance with Southern Utah Chorale, country/Western/bluegrass duo Bill and Loretta Westbrook, and country musician/author/motivational speaker Eric Dodge. The event is free and will honor local veterans, military servicemen and women, and their families. Assistant Conductor Carylee Zwang will conduct the performance, which will feature music arranged by Jacob Lee, a Southern Utah University alumnus who is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in music composition and master’s degree in music theory from the University of Oregon. The event will take place at Heritage Center Theater in Cedar City.
