The Boston Symphony Orchestra will be spotlighted in a program recorded at Tanglewood this past summer and broadcast on PBS’s “Great Performances” on November 12. The concert features the orchestra’s performance of John Williams’s new Violin Concerto No. 2, featuring Anne-Sophie Mutter, led by the composer. Also on the program, Music Director Andris Nelsons conducts Aaron Copland’s Quiet City, Igor Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite, and Jessie Montgomery’s Starburst. The November 12 program will air at 9 p.m. on most PBS stations. The program can also be streamed on PBS platforms including PBS.org and the PBS Video App, and is available on multiple other platforms.
