The Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra will feature its wind musicians in a November 13 program of Mozart and Beethoven at Ozinga Chapel at Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, Illinois. Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante for Winds will feature as soloists Naomi Bensdorf Frisch (principal oboe), Trevor O’Riordan (principal clarinet), Erin Kozakis (principal bassoon), and Lee Shirer (principal horn). Also on the program will be Beethoven’s Symphony No. 8. Music Director Stilian Kirov will conduct the concert and participate in a post-concert talkback with Illinois Philharmonic soloists. Patrons at Illinois Philharmonic concerts must provide proof of full vaccination and must also be fully masked; children under the age of 12 who are currently ineligible for vaccination are allowed to attend masked. In addition, the orchestra is seating audiences ten feet from musicians and spacing out patron seating more than usual.
