Violinist Midori, the American Pops Orchestra, guitarist Pepe Romeo, and the Washington Ballet will be among performers on a New Year’s Eve program entitled “United in Song: Celebrating the American Dream,” to air on PBS on December 31. Vocalist/actress Chita Rivera will host the program, conducted by Luke Frazier, who founded the American Pops Orchestra in 2015. The program, filmed before a live audience at Independence Hall in Philadelphia, will also feature performances by jazz trumpeter Delbert Anderson; actor Drew Gehling; and vocalists David Archuleta, Jencarlos Canela, Judy Collins, Deborah Cox, Amber Merritt, Sandi Patty, Cassadee Pope, Lea Salonga, and Paulo Szot. “United in Song” will be live-streamed simultaneously with the broadcast and available on PBS platforms.
