On December 15, the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra and the Dayton Philharmonic Chamber Choir will perform Handel’s Messiah, led by DPO Artistic Director Neal Gittleman. Also performing will be soprano Amy Owens, mezzo-soprano Christina Hazen, tenor Anthony León, and bass Michael Jones. This year’s Messiah performances will take place at the Mead Theatre of the Schuster Center, instead of Westminster Presbyterian Church, the usual location. Beginning November 22, 2021, in partnership with Dayton Performing Arts Alliance’s venue partner Dayton Live, updated health and safety protocols include: proof of vaccination or COVID-19 testing is no longer required to attend performances at Dayton Live venues, including the Schuster Center and the Victoria Theatre; masks are required for all patrons over the age of 6 during the entire visit while attending a DPAA performance or event.
