The Fresno Philharmonic has released Peter and the Wolf, its first free digital program aimed specifically at young audiences. The Young People’s Concert—featuring Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf narrated by Mark Standriff and conducted by Music Director Rei Hotoda—premiered on January 16 on the Fresno Philharmonic’s YouTube Channel and website. Also performed at the concert are Silvestre Revueltas’s Ocho por Radio and Viet Cuong’s The Wildwoods, the latter telling the tale of Peter from the perspective of the young boy’s grandfather. At the virtual premiere, Hotoda participated in a live chat throughout the program. For more information and to view the video, visit the Fresno Philharmonic’s YouTube Channel or website.
