The California Symphony has released “Fresh Look: Rewind,” a five-part on-demand virtual music-education course for adults, adapted from the orchestra’s in-person lecture series that became virtual in 2020 due to the pandemic. The series has been developed by Music Director Donato Cabrera and Scott Foglesong, chair of musicianship and music theory at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. The newly released 75-minute sessions stem from classes originally recorded in July 2021 and range from music by Bach, Beethoven, and Brahms to orchestral music by living composers. The online classes will remain available on demand for eight weeks after purchase. The course is also available with Spanish subtitles. More information at californiasymphony.org/rewind.
