The League of American Orchestras is accepting applications in its Equity Fellowship Program for an Equity Fellow in Arts Journalism. For this paid fellowship, the League seeks candidates from diverse communities underrepresented in classical music to participate in this intensive career-development program for 15 hours per week over a period of eight months. The Fellow in Arts Journalism will assist in writing, editing, and producing Symphony, the League of American Orchestras’ quarterly magazine, as well as the daily Hub news site, working directly with Symphony editors and designer. The Fellow in Arts Journalism must reside in New York state and have a New York state address. The individual must be currently enrolled in or recently matriculated from a graduate or undergraduate music, arts administration, or journalism program. The fellowship, which is for the period of late May 2019 through November 2019, includes an hourly wage of $20 and a monthly MTA unlimited MetroCard for the duration of the fellowship.

The League of American Orchestras Equity Fellowship Program is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
